IAD1280综合接入设备是NGN和IMS组网方案中的重要部件，用于向企业用户提供VoIP服务。
IAD（Integrated Access Device）1280综合接入设备（下文简称IAD1280）是基于IP的语音媒体接入网关，提供基于IP网络的高效、高质量的话音服务。
作为华为技术有限公司下一代网络NGN（Next Generation Network，下文简称NGN）产品系列化解决方案的重要部件，IAD1280为企业、小区等提供VoIP/FoIP解决方案。IAD1280作为接入设备用于NGN网络或IMS（IP multimedia subsystem）网络。根据接入方式的不同分多种组网，如xDSL接入，交换机接入，GPON/EPON接入。不同接入方式.

The IAD1280 interconnects with the SoftCo through the standard SIP protocols and provides 280 FXS interfaces.

Product Positioning

As a terminal device at the edge access layer of HUAWEI unified communications, the IAD1280 is widely used on the unified communications network. By adopting the standard voice codec and compression techniques, the IAD1280 encodes voice signals, encapsulates them into IP packets, and then sends the IP packets to a specified media gateway through the IP network. After the IP packets reach the destination, the destination IAD performs the reverse processing to restore the packets into voice signals. In this way, the VoIP and FoIP functions are achieved.

The IAD1280 is applicable to middle-density areas such as enterprises and residential communities. The IAD1280 has 7 ASU boards. Each ASU board connects to up to 40 POTS.

Main Functions

The IAD1280:

·                                 Connects POTS users to the IP network.

·                                 Supports T.30 and T.38 fax service, supports transparent fax transmission.

·                                 Supports the Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).

·                                 Supports the traditional PSTN phone services, such as calling line identification presentation (CLIP), call forwarding, and call waiting.

·                                 Cooperates with the SoftCo to obtain intelligent and feature services, such as the RBT, ONLY service, and card service.

Product Appearance

The IAD1280 adopts a 6 U (1 U = 44.45 mm) standard shelf. Figure 2-18 and Figure 2-19 show the front view and rear view of the IAD1280 respectively.
